Tonight's queer artist feature is @jordainmolloygillen
My name is Jordain Molloy Gillen and I am a queer artist and designer based in Northern Ireland. Coming from a country which is quite narrow minded in their views of LGBTQ society, my work explores themes of genderqueer and spiritual nature, celebrating freedom of expression, love, nature and dreams.
Specialising particularly in making headdresses and bespoke garments, my work tells stories of my own personal conflicts with fitting in, in society and how i've overcome this. I want people to feel empowered and celebrated within my work. And with this I have had some fabulous oppertunities to collaborate with local Queer photographers and performers to achieve this.
